Looking Back at 2024<\/h2>\n

The year 2024 is almost over, and it\u2019s time once again for our annual review. Of course, we\u2019ll also give you a sneak peek into our plans for 2025.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look back at 2024 because a lot has happened.<\/p>\n

Starting with the house at Ferchergasse 19, we\u2019ve updated all the dishes, glasses, and cutlery in all apartments\u2014numbers 1 through 9. For extra sleeping comfort, we\u2019ve also added new second pillows.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also made significant improvements in safety, particularly fire protection. Apartments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 now have new fire-rated doors. The house itself is equipped with a fire alarm system and emergency lighting. Additionally, every apartment now has specialized safety trash cans instead of regular ones.<\/p>\n

As you know, we hold both the Austrian Eco-label and the EU Ecolabel. That\u2019s why we\u2019re committed to continuously improving our efforts in sustainability and environmental responsibility. This year, we installed a new heating control system in all apartments, allowing each room to be individually temperature-controlled. We\u2019ve also added special window sensors, so the heating automatically switches off when a window is opened.<\/p>\n

What else is new? On the second floor, we replaced the carpet in the hallway near the apartments. In the attic, we installed a new boiler. In Apartment 1, we completely refurbished the old sofa bed with new upholstery and also added a new sleeper chair.<\/p>\n

When you visit us next time, you\u2019ll also notice we\u2019ve (once again) redesigned the courtyard. There\u2019s now a lockable storage area for bicycles, and we\u2019ve added a privacy screen for the trash bins. The redesign has created more space for outdoor seating. In spring, the courtyard will also get a fresh new round of planting.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also made some upgrades in our office, giving us more space to store everything we need and all the information materials we have for you.<\/p>\n

Another major milestone for us this year was our expansion to Cyprus<\/a>. Since mid-year, you can now book two apartments in a stunning location<\/a> with breathtaking views, offering the same quality you know from our apartments.<\/p>\n

Starting 2025 \u2013 Plans and More Plans<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ll kick off the new year with renovations in Apartment 1. The flooring there has become worn over time, so we\u2019ll be giving it a complete makeover to make it shine again.<\/p>\n

Of course, the usual painting and restocking work will take place in January and February, as these months are ideal for such tasks.<\/p>\n

In Apartment 3, we\u2019ll be replacing the sofa entirely to enhance sleeping comfort and improve the overall look.<\/p>\n

For the air conditioning units in the attic, we plan to install window sensors similar to those on the windows. This will ensure the air conditioning switches off when the windows are open.<\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, we\u2019ll focus on courtyard landscaping in the spring and decide on the perfect spots for the beautiful herbs and plants.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re still brainstorming a few other ideas, but we\u2019ll keep those a secret for now. By the end of 2025, the review will likely be even longer than what we\u2019ve shared here in our planning.<\/p>\n
