\"\"Rain in Vienna? Not so bad. To be honest, Christian and I also quite like the city when the sky is gray – because then Vienna shows its cozy, sometimes slightly morbid side. And even when it’s raining, you can discover Vienna in a different way. <\/p>\n

Art as far as the eye can see<\/h2>\n

Vienna is a city of museums, and on a rainy day that\u2019s a real gift. In the Kunsthistorisches Museum<\/a> you\u2019ll lose yourself between Bruegel and Vermeer; the Natural History Museum<\/a> across the square delights with dinosaurs and the famous Venus of Willendorf; and the Albertina<\/a> shows everything of note, from D\u00fcrer to Monet. A nice bonus for families: in all of Austria\u2019s federal museums, children and teenagers under 19 get in free.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Underwater worlds and tropical warmth<\/h2>\n

If you’re in the mood for something lively, the Haus des Meeres<\/a> will amaze you with sharks, rays and a tropical aquarium – we’ve already written about this special house in our blog. And in the butterfly house<\/a> in the Hofburg, you can flutter through a tropical garden in the pleasant warmth while it’s raining outside. <\/p>\n

Hands-on – ideal with children<\/h2>\n

So that the little ones don’t get bored: In the Technical Museum<\/a>, they can press, crank and try things out, and the ZOOM Children’s Museum<\/a> in the MuseumsQuartier is specially designed for exploring with all the senses. A rainy day will fly by here. <\/p>\n

The coziest plan of all<\/h2>\n
