\"\"You may have noticed two small logos on our website: the Austrian Ecolabel (\u00d6sterreichisches Umweltzeichen) and the EU Ecolabel. Pretty seals of quality, all well and good \u2013 but what do they really mean? We think you should know what\u2019s behind our green promise. Because both are more than just a sticker. <\/p>\n

Two recognised labels<\/h2>\n

The Austrian Ecolabel<\/a> is the state-recognised seal of quality for environmentally friendly products and services in Austria. The EU Ecolabel<\/a> is its European counterpart \u2013 the official environmental label of the European Union, recognisable across Europe by its little flower. Both also exist for accommodation businesses like ours. <\/p>\n

Audited, not just claimed<\/h2>\n

The crucial part: you can\u2019t award these labels to yourself. To carry them, you commit to meeting many strict criteria \u2013 and to being checked regularly by independent bodies. Sustainability is therefore not a nice word on a website, but something verifiable. We\u2019ve held both labels since the end of September 2021. You\u2019ll find more on our sustainability page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What that means day to day<\/h2>\n

In practice, that means, for example: we favour regional and environmentally friendly products, use energy and water consciously, avoid and separate waste, support the regional economy and work continuously on doing better. The people who work in the business are part of it too \u2013 training and fair cooperation included. <\/p>\n

Why this matters to you as a guest<\/h2>\n

Quite simply: you can rely on the fact that \u201esustainable\u201c really does mean sustainable with us. You don\u2019t have to give anything up for it \u2013 your stay is just as comfortable as anywhere else, only with a clear conscience. And if you have questions or ideas: we always welcome suggestions. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re glad sustainability matters to you \u2013 because it matters to us, too.
