Apartment 1 in Vienna Hernals with living room and terraceWhen planning a trip to Vienna, sooner or later that one question comes up: a hotel, or rather an apartment? Both have their place – but since we’re hosts heart and soul, of course, we’d love to tell you why an apartment is the all-round better home away from home for so many guests.

More space, more freedom

The biggest difference is probably the space. Instead of a single room, you get a proper living area with us, your own kitchen and – depending on the apartment – separate bedrooms. You can spread out, unwind, live. Especially for families or longer stays, that makes a real difference, because no one is sitting on top of anyone else.

Cook for yourself, whenever you like

With your own kitchen, you’re independent: a quick breakfast in your pyjamas, dinner after a long day, or simply a cup of tea whenever you fancy one. That’s easier on the travel budget and also handy when someone has particular preferences or the children just need their usual meals.

Personal, not anonymous

In a big hotel, you’re often a room number. With us, you have people who know you – Christian and I are reachable, reply personally and help if something comes up. That mix of independence and genuine, real contact is rare in an anonymous operation.

And when does a hotel make sense?

Fair is fair: for a single overnight stay with room service, a 24-hour reception, wellnessarea, inhouse restaurant and daily housekeeping, a hotel can be the more convenient choice. But as soon as you’re staying a few days, travelling with family or simply want to feel at home, an apartment really comes into its own.

We’d be delighted to welcome you to our corner of Hernals soon …
