Two recognised labels
The Austrian Ecolabel is the state-recognised seal of quality for environmentally friendly products and services in Austria. The EU Ecolabel is its European counterpart – the official environmental label of the European Union, recognisable across Europe by its little flower. Both also exist for accommodation businesses like ours.
Audited, not just claimed
The crucial part: you can’t award these labels to yourself. To carry them, you commit to meeting many strict criteria – and to being checked regularly by independent bodies. Sustainability is therefore not a nice word on a website, but something verifiable. We’ve held both labels since the end of September 2021. You’ll find more on our sustainability page.
What that means day to day
In practice, that means, for example: we favour regional and environmentally friendly products, use energy and water consciously, avoid and separate waste, support the regional economy and work continuously on doing better. The people who work in the business are part of it too – training and fair cooperation included.
Why this matters to you as a guest
Quite simply: you can rely on the fact that „sustainable“ really does mean sustainable with us. You don’t have to give anything up for it – your stay is just as comfortable as anywhere else, only with a clear conscience. And if you have questions or ideas: we always welcome suggestions.
